Geocaching is a hobby that was started by Dave Ulmer on May 3, 2000. It combines the centuries-old hobby of Letterboxing with GPS satellite navigation. It is essentially a world wide treasure hunt. You are given GPS coordinates, and you must go to those coordinates and find boxes called “geocaches” (geo for earth, cache as in “pirates cache”). We don’t have a GPS reciever, but with Google Maps, we can find the caches pretty well.

Here you will find my geocaching journal. I have organized it by state. In each state page, I have sorted out my cache finds by date. You can read my detailed journal entries, or my log entries if you want to find the cache yourself and don’t want to be spoiled by my detailed accounts.
