Platform Games

Even though I enjoy video games with a fantastic story most of all, I still enjoy some video games that have little or no storylines. Platforming games are my favorite type of non-storyline driven video games. There are some platformers with great storylines, such as the excellent game Psychonauts, but in most cases the storyline comes either entirely in the manual such as early games like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog, or through opening and ending cutscenes such as in Super Mario 64 and Sonic CD.

My favorite platforming games are the Mario series, DuckTales and Chip 'N' Dale's Rescue Rangers on the NES, Aladdin on the Sega Genesis, and Donkey Kong Jr. in the arcades. I also enjoy the Sega Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog series, and I absolutely love Double Fine's Psychonauts.

I was also pleasantly surprised by Kim Possible 3 on the Game Boy Advance, as I enjoyed that game a lot.
